Australian director Richard Franklin (Patrick) continues the story of Norman Bates, 23 years after the release of Alfred Hitchcock's groundbreaking Psycho.

Anthony Perkins returns to the role of Norman Bates and makes his directorial debut with this third film, following the convicted killer years after the events that saw him put into a mental institution. Bates is still running his motel, but one day, a journalist turns up to ask him questions about his past.
