Will Smith to lead ‘The Wild Bunch’; ‘A Clockwork Orange’ penis and more movie news
Will Smith is setting himself up to produce and star in Warner Bros.’ remake of Sam Peckinpah’s classic The Wild Bunch. According to The Wrap, Smith will be producing alongside Jerry Weintraub, both having worked together previously on The Karate Kid remake (starring Smith’s son Jaden). It’s unclear what direction this reboot of the classic Western will take, but given the Fresh Prince’s previous run with the genre, we’ll be happy with the absence of giant mechanical spiders and man-boob groping.

Phase Two of The Avengers is gaining ground with Iron Man 3 and the upcoming Thor: The Dark World, with Marvel’s TV series Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. looking to cover even more territory (#CoulsonLives!). Here’s the trailer:
J.J. Abrams recently appeared on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart to talk about Star Trek Into Darkness. It’s a funny piece, though there aren’t any real scoops. Except that Stewart’s old, and more of a Trekkie than Abrams.
Lastly, via The Film Stage, here’s the first clip from Cannes of Alexander Payne’s Nebraska, which continues to demonstrate the director’s masterful ability to make middle-age white guy problems so damn interesting (if you haven’t seen Sideways or The Descendants yet, you should).
