The Umbrella Academy season 4: UK trailer and release date
All good things must come to an end, and sadly that also includes The Umbrella Academy, whose fourth and final season is imminent.
When is The Umbrella Academy season 4 being released in the UK?
The Umbrella Academy season four hits Netflix in the UK on August 8.
What is The Umbrella Academy season 4 about?
Based on the comics by My Chemical Romance (and rabid Grant Morrison fan, which shows) Gerard Way, The Umbrella Academy follows the fortunes of the highly dysfunctional Hargreeves family, a team of adoptee superheroes who reunited at the top end of season one after the death of their adoptive father, Sir Reginald, to process a lot of emotions and also save the world.
Now, after a lot of weirdness and time travel, this final season sees the siblings stuck in an alternate timeline without their powers. Where it goes from there is anyone’s guess. Once again, all the episodes are named after songs, which doesn’t shed any light at all on the plot, but it’s cute nonetheless.
The cast of The Umbrella Academy season 4
Elliot Page is the sound manipulating Vanya Hargreeves; Tom Hopper is gorilla-armed Luther Hargreeves; David Castañeda is the rebellious and telekinetic Diego Hargreeves; Emmy Raver-Lampman is the telepathic Allison Hargreeves; Robert Sheehan is immortal junkie Klaus Hargreeves; Aidan Gallagher is the time-travelling Five Hargreeves; Justin H. Min is the deceased but still very much active Ben Hargreeves. Colm Feore is their adoptive old man; Sir Reginald Hargreeves; and comedy champs Nick Offerman, Megan Mullally, and David Cross are joining this season in undisclosed roles, some of whom may or may not be named Hargreeves.

Why we’re excited about The Umbrella Academy season 4
What a long, strange trip it’s been. While it’s never quite matched the sublime weirdness of the source comics, The Umbrella Academy has always followed its own strange and winding path, and we’re keen to see where it ends.
