It’s almost time to get Carrie’d away by SATC sequel And Just Like That…
Settle in for the ladies’ brunch of a lifetime: we have so much to catch up on when it comes to Sex and the City‘s fabulous cast of fifty-somethings.
Since the HBO series ended in 2004, Sarah Jessica Parker strutted through Mexico and Abu Dhabi in two feature film spin-offs; Cynthia Nixon campaigned for Governor of New York; Kim Cattrall exited the franchise after some behind-the-scenes beef ; and, tragically, Willie Garson (the series’ ‘fifth lady’ Stanford Blatch) passed away on September 21 of this year.
See where the SATC gals are now by watching the sequel series And Just Like That… on Sky Atlantic and NOW, where the first two episodes will premiere on Thursday December 9. We’ve got the tantalizing, fashion-filled teaser below to get you in the Manhattan mood.
Carrie, Miranda, and Charlotte still seem to be attached at the hip, but there’s plenty of changes coming their way, too. As Carrie promises, her beloved city is constantly reinventing itself, and new cast members such as Nicole Ari Parker, Sara Ramirez, and Sarita Choudhury are sure to shake up everything we know about womanhood and friendship and, well, sex in the city. Why do I always think the show is Sex In The City? After having more than two decades to get it right?

Since seemingly the dawn of time, foursomes of friends have been bickering about which one of them is the prudish Charlotte, and who’s got enough game to claim that they’re the Samantha of the group. All those generations of fans will certainly stick around to see what Carrie and Big are up to, how those outrageous fashion sensibilities have matured, and that burning, gossipy question of Samantha’s absence.
And Just Like That… will release new episodes every Thursday evening after its double premiere. Get your best girls around and pour out the Cosmos in celebration: like Carrie’s signature drink, the new show should be glam, sweet, and capable of sweeping you off your feet.
