How to watch this year’s Academy Awards ceremony in the UK
Find out how you can watch this year’s Oscars (after critiquing outfits you could never afford on the red carpet, of course).
Film fans across the UK will be able to watch the 94th Academy Awards live and for free very, very early in the morning on Monday 28 March. Sky Cinema will air the event on the sub-channel Sky Cinema Oscars, with the ceremony airing at 1am GMT.
The awards will also be available to stream online and on demand via Sky’s platform NOW, if you’re not keen on staying up past midnight to watch the whole three-hour-long ordeal.
Returning to the Dolby Theatre this year, the ceremony will buck the trend of recent, host-less Oscars. But wait for it—possibly making up for lost time, there will be not one, not two, but three hosts, each tackling an hour of the show. Let the jockeying for position begin—with Best Picture to announce, not all co-hosts will be created equal.
UPDATE: Variety reports Amy Schumer, Regina Hall and Wanda Sykes are finalising details to host this year’s Academy Awards.
