How to watch the 2024 Oscars ceremony in the UK and Ireland
Find out how you can watch this year’s Oscars (after critiquing outfits you could never afford on the red carpet, of course).
Film fans will be able to watch the 96th Academy Awards live and for free on Sunday 10 March (UK time). ITV1 and ITVX are screening the Oscars this year. Jonathan Ross hosts a new companion show, starting from 10:30pm, while the full Academy Awards ceremony gets underway at 11:00pm UK time.
Yes, that’s pretty late for a traditionally long awards show, we know… With this in mind, ITV will release a 90-minute highlights episode, airing on ITV1 on 10:45pm on Monday 11th March, and then available to watch on ITVX.
As for the awards themselves, Jimmy Kimmel back as hosting for the fourth time this year, with more presenters and performers (a singing Ryan Gosling?) to be announced.
Can’t remember who got nominated for what? We’ve got the full list of nominees right here. Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer leads the race with 13 nominations including all the big categories except Best Actress (don’t act surprised). Poor Things follows closely with 11 nominations, as does Killers of the Flower Moon with 10.
