We know that histrionic medical drama Grey’s Anatomy has a quiet but fanatically committed cadre of fans, and that fact is the reason why star Ellen Pompeo is one of the highest paid actors on the planet. But it’s still a bit of a moment when you realise the landmark 20th season is mere weeks away.
When is Grey’s Anatomy season 20 being released in the UK?
Grey’s Anatomy season 20 is streaming in the UK exclusively on Disney+ from March 28, with new episodes dropping weekly.
What is Grey’s Anatomy season 20 about?
The lives and loves of the various doctors and other staff of the former Seattle Grace Hospital, now named the Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital. Chief among them is Meredith Grey, who lends her name to the title, played by the aforementioned Ellen Pompeo, a woman who once cursed out Denzel Washington when he guest-directed an episode. When we first met her, she was but a callow surgical intern—now she’s the hospital’s chief of general surgery. She’s also stepping back a bit as of this season, with the series becoming more of an ensemble drama. Indeed, how often Pompeo shows up this season is anyone’s guess, although she will continue to narrate every episode.
