Edgar Wright directed a shot in Star Trek Into Darkness

Coming off the fresh trailer for The World’s End, an extremely well-timed tweet from Shaun of the Dead director Edgar Wright revealed that the mystery shot he directed was from none other than Star Trek Into Darkness. New Movies and Casting News

According to Deadline, Mia Wasikowska (Jane Eyre), Olivia Williams (Anna Karenina) and Evan Bird (TV’s The Killing) have signed on to David Cronenberg’s  Maps to the Stars, a Los Angeles-set ghost story that casts a scathing eye on celebrity-obsessed culture. Hmmm… like son, like father. They join a healthy cast comprised of Robert Pattinson, John Cusack and Julianne Moore.

Deadline also pay mention to Disney’s upcoming live-action take on Cinderella with mention that Game of Thrones‘ Richard Madden will star, de-ranking King Stark to a mere prince.

Lastly, Desde Hollywood are claiming that Jason Statham will be in Fast and Furious 7. This comes from an interview they did with Michelle Rodriguez, who says “Jason Statham, Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson, when you see these guys in a room you know they belong together […] You can see in their eyes that they have gone through a lot […] I applaud Universal for getting him on-board!”.
