William Kelly's War

Independent Australian war drama. The saga follows two brothers who leave their outback home to fight in WWI and, on returning, find their family under siege from a gang of bushrangers.

Writer-director Geoff Davis - whose sons star as the brothers - raised funds independently and shot much of the film in the back paddocks of his farm near Leongatha in country Victoria. With a background in technology, Davis then used CGI and effects to simulate war locations and action. The film is inspired by Davis' favourite film, John Ford’s The Searchers.
