Drama looking at life in a lower class area of Hong Kong.

Lin-fa Wong, a young pregnant woman from mainland China arrives in Hong Kong to take care of her husband’s funeral arrangements. For the sake of her unborn child, she intends to remain in Hong Kong for the birth of her child so she can realise her dream of becoming a Hong Kong resident. Fu-yi Lau is the insurance salesman responsible for delivering her meagre insurance payout. Against his better judgement he finds himself helping the young widow out. Meanwhile neighbour Chung-chung Lai, a heroin addicted prostitute is trying to make extra money to fix her rotting teeth. Going about her daily life she grabs the attention of a photojournalist Chi who starts following her with the intention of making her the subject of a documentary. (Source: Hong Kong Film Festival)
