Arnie is Douglas Quaid, a construction worker with a seemingly pleasant life, including being married to Sharon Stone, but plagued with recurring dreams of being on Mars. When he buys a virtual vacation from Rekall Inc. it unlocks a repressed identity - that of a secret agent on a deep cover mission that's so secret even he can't know about it. As he goes on the run with authorities in violent pursuit, Quaid leaves a trail of bodies in his wake and travels to Mars to piece together his past, and unlock the mysteries hidden on the Red Planet.
