The Straight Story

Alvin Straight (Richard Farnsworth, Misery) learns that his estranged brother Lyle (Harry Dean Stanton, Lucky) has had a stroke. Wanting to make amends before it's too late - but without a car or driver's license - Alvin decides to make his odyssey from Iowa to Wisconsin on his ancient ride-on lawnmower.

This biographical road drama, directed by David Lynch (Eraserhead), also stars Sissy Spacek (Badlands).
