The Fever and the Fret

Eleanor, a troubled Filipino girl in New York City submerges herself in a dangerous fantasy she may not be able to leave.

Every night while staring at the stains on her wall, Eleanor goes into a trance and imagines that they are a mountain range, and through them she is able to explore a beautiful dream world. One day she discovers a baby there, with a mirror image birthmark on its face. Every time she goes back, the child is a little older until they are the same age, and they travel the landscape together.

Shot in NYC and Iceland. Written, directed and produced by budding auteur Cath Gulick over four years, who used Kickstarter to finish the passion project.
