Marielle Heller makes her writing-directing feature debut adapting Phoebe Gloeckner’s bestselling coming-of-age story, winning awards at the Berlin and Sundance Film Festivals. Set in 1970s San Francisco, the film stars Bel Powley (A Royal Night Out) as a 15-year-old who enters into her first sexual encounter – with her mother’s boyfriend.
