SXSW-hosted horror about Alexis, a deaf girl who recovers her hearing and develops synaesthesia during the brutal murder of her family. As an adult, Alexis is a musician, fascinated with the sound of human pain and willing to do anything to record it.
Alexis (Jasmin Savoy Brown, Yellowjackets), develops a unique musical style, sampling visceral sounds and mixing them into her songs. When faced with the prospect of losing her hearing again, she embarks on a gruesome mission to create her final masterpiece.
Co-starring Lili Simmons (Banshee), Sound of Violence is the feature debut of director Alex Noyer, and premiered worldwide at SXSW Online in 2021.
