In 2020, a family of farmers and conservationists lead to protect the local endemic white-flippered penguins of Banks Peninsula. 20 years after the first significant survey, Shireen, Francis and Jess Helps, Kevin & Ave Parthonnaud and up to sixty volunteers roam the steep cliffs of the peninsula looking for traces of penguin burrows. This documentary tells a story of citizen science, tenacity, resilience and hope, in the face of adversity.
