Delving into the lives of founder L. Ron Hubbard and current leader David Miscavige, Wright's book also details the organisation's relationship with Hollywood stars like Tom Cruise and John Travolta - a topic said to be at the core of Gibney's film. HBO are rumoured to have 160 lawyers vetting the film, in anticipation of a torrent of lawsuits heading their way.
