Noémie Merlant (Portrait of a Lady on Fire) is Emmanuelle, the iconic figure in erotic cinema, in this film that sees the young woman embark on a series of sexual adventures with men and women against the backdrop of expatriate life in Bangkok. From BAFTA-nominated director Audrey Diwan (Happening), who co-wrote the script with filmmaker Rebecca Zlotowski (Other People's Children), the film marks 50 years since the release of 1974's Emmanuelle.
