Casino Jack

Political satire and true story about Jack Abramoff (Kevin Spacey, nominated for Best Actor at the 2010 Golden Globes), a big time business man and political lobbyist whose involvement in a massive corruption scandal rocked the White House in 2006.

When Abramoff and his business partner (Barry Pepper) enlist a mob-connected buddy (Jon Lovitz) to help with one of their dodgy schemes, they soon find themselves entrenched in a world of mafia assassins, murder and a headline grabbing scandal. The episode, also centered around Abramoff's tendency to give expensive gifts in return for political favours, led to a conviction for himself (for fraud and conspiracy), two White House officials and 10 other lobbyists and congressional staffers.
