About Strand Arts Centre Belfast
Contact & About
Alongside the Queen’s Film Theatre, the Strand is one of the last two independent cinemas in Belfast and has been screening films since 1935. Famed for its art-deco design inspired by the neighbouring shipyard of Harland and Wolff, the Strand is also the city’s last surviving pre-war cinema. The façade was restored in 1999, picking up an award in the process. Across four screens, the Strand showcases classics and new releases, live music and theatre, as well workshops and classes on filmmaking. A Belfast gem.
