About Science Museum London IMAX
Contact & About
Catching a film here at this legendary venue is an unbeatable, utterly immersive experience.
A recent revamp at the venue’s Ronson Theatre saw an IMAX 4k projector joining the state-of-the-art IMAX 70mm film projector. This means films are shown with increased resolution, sharper images and deeper contrasts on a screen that’s four times the length of a London double-decker bus. If you can tear yourself away from the museum’s mind-expanding exhibits, the cinema is clean and modern with comfortable seating and a well-stocked concession stand. Most films shown are here educational – offering journeys that transport you to far-flung places on our planet and beyond – but blockbusters and classic films are occasionally on the line-up too.
