About Radway Sidmouth
Contact & About
The Radway opened as a live theatre in 1928, but became a full-time picture-house a year later with the advent of talkies. The auditorium still has its patterned pressed-tin ceiling and original proscenium. During enforced closure for the Covid-19 lockdown, a state-of-the-art projection kit and sound system were installed, ensuring that the next 100 years will be just as bright. Cinemagoers can enjoy films from the balcony, and there’s a licensed bar/coffee in the upper foyer.
