About BFI London IMAX

Contact & About

An unmissable fixture on a roundabout near Waterloo station, the BFI’s behemoth is the go-to destination for the super-scale screen experience in London. If you want to see the latest Christopher Nolan or MCU films at their best, nowhere else quite compares – ask Tom Cruise, who filmed his lockdown-era trip to see Tenet there. Steeply raked seating for 500 guarantees sightlines worth braving vertigo for, while the 20x26m screen and huge sound maximise impact. Overseen by the Odeon, the programming is dominated by mainstream hits, though recent years have seen films from the BFI Southbank’s seasons screening, including Stephen King adaptations, festival entries and Stanley Kubrick classics. The snack bars downstairs are just the icing on a very large cake.
