Built into a steep hill, Picturehouse Exeter was architect-designed so that its two auditoriums share the same projection box and its cafe enjoys great views. Its programmers schedule everything from quality mainstream and family movie to indies, documentaries and foreign-language releases, plus opera, theatre and music from around the world. Its two screens have capacities of 167 and 131. Further fun can be had via fortnightly film quizzes plus the Big Scream, designed for parents and guardians with babies under one year old, plus Kids’ Club and Toddler Time. The cinema also offers and dementia- and autism-friendly screenings.
